Questions
Why not force every slug into ASCII?
Unicode in paths is valid. Folding every script would invent spellings. Latin accents are folded because the base letter is usually what people type.
Are stop words removed?
No. Words such as a and the stay, so the slug remains close to the title. Delete words yourself if you want a shorter path.
What happens to numbers and underscores?
Numbers stay. Underscores and other punctuation become hyphens, and repeated hyphens collapse.
